Quality & Compliance

A specification is only worth the testing behind it. Here is what happens to every batch before it leaves the site.

Quality system

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 aligned, audited annually.

Quality control is independent of production. Release testing is performed against the registered specification, and a batch cannot ship without a signed certificate of analysis issued by QC rather than by the production team.

  • Incoming materials — identity confirmation and key assay checks on every lot; supplier qualification files maintained.
  • In-process controls — reaction completion, pH, water content and intermediate purity checked at defined hold points.
  • Batch release — assay, impurity profile, residual solvents, heavy metals, appearance and loss on drying.
  • Stability — ongoing programme at 25 °C/60% RH and 40 °C/75% RH for products with shelf-life claims.
  • Deviation handling — every out-of-specification result is investigated with a written root-cause record before disposition.

Analytical testing

In-house instrumentation, external confirmation where it matters.

HPLC / UPLC

Assay and related substances, including chiral purity on dedicated columns.

GC & GC-MS

Residual solvents, volatile impurities, pesticide residue screening for botanicals.

LC-MS

Structural confirmation and trace-impurity identification.

ICP-MS

Elemental impurities to ICH Q3D where required by the customer.

Karl Fischer

Water content by coulometric titration for moisture-sensitive products.

Third-party labs

SGS / Intertek confirmation available on request for regulated markets.

Documentation pack

One request, one reference number, a consolidated pack.

Sustainability

Measured, not claimed.

Our environmental programme is built around solvent recovery, energy recovery from distillation and waste segregation at source. Against the 2024 baseline, liquid waste per tonne of finished product is down 38% and fresh solvent consumption is down 31%.

The next phase targets process intensification on the acetylation and esterification lines, aiming for a further 15% reduction in solvent intensity by the end of 2027.
